The rate goes on the board first.
Every month we post what each savings book earned — here, in public, on the shopfront board — before a single rupee reaches a passbook. Same number on the board, on your dashboard, in your statement.

Four books, sized to what you can set aside.
Each book holds a range. Start anywhere in it, add to it later, or move up when the amount outgrows the range.
What a month at the current rate looks like.
This uses the rate actually declared this month. Change the amount to see how it lands. Next month's rate will be a different number.
—
A projection only — it assumes this month's rate repeats, which it will not.
—
A projection is not a promise. The shop declares each month separately and can declare a lower rate, or none at all. Treat this as arithmetic, not a forecast.
How a book runs.
Four steps, and you can see all of them from your dashboard.
Open the book
Create an account, pick a book, and name your amount. The request sits until the shop confirms your payment.
The shop confirms
Pay at the counter or by transfer. Staff match it against your reference number and the book opens from that date.
The month is declared
At month end the shop posts one rate per book to the public board. The same number lands in every passbook on that book.
Add, move up, or close
Top up within your range, move to a bigger book, or close it at maturity. Every entry stays in your ledger.
Every month we've declared.
Nothing is edited out. A blank means no rate was declared for that book that month.

—
Rates are declared, not promised. A rate posted for one month says nothing about the next. The shop can declare a lower rate, or skip a month. No figure on this site is a guaranteed or contracted return.
Check who you're paying. Ask the shop which registration this scheme runs under and get it in writing. In India, schemes that accept public deposits are regulated, and a jeweller's savings scheme has to fit inside those rules. If a rate sounds far above what banks or gold itself returns, ask exactly where the money comes from.
Keep your own record. Every entry in your online passbook should match a receipt from the counter. If the two disagree, the receipt is what counts — raise it with the shop the same week.
What people ask at the counter.
Is the rate fixed for the whole term?
No. One rate is declared per book per month. It is posted on the board above and then applied to every open book on that plan. Next month gets its own number, decided separately.
When does my book start earning?
From the date the shop marks it active — that is, once your payment is confirmed. A book opened mid-month is included in that month's declaration; a book opened after the declaration waits for the next one.
Can I add money later?
Yes, in two ways. Top up within your current book's range, or move up to a larger book by adding the difference. Both go in as requests and apply once the shop confirms the payment.
How do I know the number on my dashboard is right?
Every credit in your passbook shows the principal it was calculated on, the rate used, and the month. Multiply the first two and you should get the third. The rate shown is the same one on the public board.
What happens at maturity?
Talk to the shop. Depending on your book you can close it, roll it into a new one, or put the balance toward a purchase. Nothing rolls over automatically.
Is this the same as a bank deposit?
No, and the difference matters. Bank deposits are insured up to a limit and pay a contracted rate. This is a scheme run by a shop, with a rate the shop sets each month. Ask for the registration details and read them before you commit.
